Title: Yellow Rose In Rain | Medium: Watercolor on paper
As I worked on this painting I noticed how the rose petals layered themselves into a heart-shaped formation on the lower left side. See it? I love that. I didn't think too hard about that special touch but it remains a wonderful feature of this piece that many people comment on. My flowers tell their story through their unique personalities and this one says sweetheart and friendship in many ways. The original painting is approximately 13 x 24 inches and was done on Arches 140lb hot press paper which is very smooth dense watercolor paper. It was always intended to be a study for a larger painting which I may create in oil on canvas or perhaps a giant watercolor. Museum quailty Giclee prints of Yellow Rose In Rain are available in my online shop in several sizes. Please email me for further details including availability of original artwork.
