Title: Red Rose Waves | Medium: Watercolor on Paper.
Red Rose Waves is an important work, a critical turning-point piece which is the third to be completed in phase II of Montana’s body of work: Exquisite Paintings on the Nature of Flowers. The qualities of red in this piece represent the element of earth as physical matter in action, and in this work of art, a kind of meditative prayer supporting heart-centered transformation on the physical plane. “There's a fluid nature to the shapes I use and that's especially evident in the rise and fall of the lines of the petal edges here... Water droplets and the element of flow are symbolic as the roses communicate their intelligence through rarified vibration. It’s about magnanimous, spacious, higher love. Real freedom. If you were to stop and listen to the still, small voice of everything in your environment you'd hear an amazing symphony. Sound and light become form at the physical plane and my roses and other plants and flowers are a vehicle.“ Serious inquiries may arrange an in-person viewing upon request.
