Title: Angelique Tulip | Medium: Acrylic on Board
Featured in the New York Times during an exhibit at the Montclair Art Museum in New Jersey, I was honored to participate in the show Montclair Artists, Then and Now with artists such as George Innes being then, and my contemporaries and I being now. Angelique Tulip is a painting I created when I was experimenting with acrylic on board. This piece was inspired by tulips growing in my garden at the time. With so many ruffles and interesting color variations, I had to create at least one painting of an Angelique tulip. I chose this mandala-like composition and worked the colors up in successive layers. A few giclee prints with four-sided deckled edges are still available. Please email me for further details including availability of original artwork.
